Freedom! (La libertad)
Here's a catchy pop song by Álvaro Soler, a singer from Spain, that'll make you want to sing along and get up and dance.

VÍDEO CON LA CANCIÓN "WE WILL ROCK YOU"
NOTE: The "age-restricted warning" is because this is an advertisement for a lottery ticket. The lottery benefits blind and visually impaired people. It is perfectly appropriate for high schoolers—and it's sung to the tune "We Will Rock You."

Te voy a decir
está hecho para ti
es un premio enorme
esto no tiene fin
Multimillonario

did your team just win a GAME? chant this song!
The "letra" (=lyrics) are really simple: "Ole ole ole ole, campeón, campeón." (And repeat it like 50 times!) Note: "Ole" with the stress on the "o" is not the same as "olé" (with the stress on the "e"): Olé is what crowds chant during certain parts of a bullfighters (which are now illegal in parts of Spain).
ARE YOU A REAL FAN?
One of two teams in Madrid, Spain's capital, is Real Madrid. Here's what their fans sing:
Yo no soy un monstruo
Watch the video of Elvis Crespo's song "Yo no soy un monstruo" (I'm not a monster) and then decide: What would you do if you saw students picking on or bullying a schoolmate? Here are some words you might need to express yourself: "el respeto" (respect), "respetar" (to respect), "la tolerancia" (tolerance), la amistad (friendship), el amor propio (self-esteem), "la lealtad" (loyalty) and "el acoso escolar/el bullying" (bullying). Cool Expressions
Translating word for word from Spanish just doesn't work. For example, if you wanted to say, "It's raining cats and dogs," and you said "Llueve gatos y perros," you would get a VERY strange look! In Spanish you say, "It's raining pitchers," or "Llueve a cántaros." To learn more useful expressions, watch these videos:

You think Spanish is hard to learn as a second language? Try English! Take a listen to this clip from the old sitcom "I Love Lucy" where Ricky Ricardo reads aloud (he's of Cuban descent and his first language is Spanish).

de la banda sonora =FROM the soundtrack OF...
You've heard of Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Snoopy. But who are Zipi y Zape? They're the names of two classic comic book characters from Spain—two brothers who can't stay out of trouble. The duo comes to life in the movie "Zipi y Zape: Y el club de la canica" (in English "Zip and Zap: And the Marble Gang"). From the movie soundtrack, here's "Por siempre" sung by Cali y el Dandee.
